CHI CHOI MAO is a small wood working workshop founded in 2018 Hong Kong. This Hong Kong based small workshop are formed by one carpenter and two cats.

CHI CHOI MAO = 自在貓

The name CHI CHOI MAO is the pronunciation of Cantonese “自在貓”. This is hoped that our products can create harmony and a relaxing atmosphere, just like the life of my cats (Kin Kin & Ar Mei).

Our collection are separated into two lines based on its wood and color:

  • Kin_ produced by beech or oak
  • Mei_ produced by black walnut

We focus on designing wooden products and small furniture which fits Hong Kong living conditions. We use solid wood and traditional joinery techniques, which gives the product a longer life.
